The month of May is Cervical Cancer Awareness Month. The Department of Health, Global Pharmaceutical company MSD, together with Medical Societies around the country are all set for the 7th Year of the Cervical Cancer Month celebration.
In the pass years they stablish policies and programs such as national guidelines for cervical cancer prevention and control.
There will be a free cervical cancer screening which will be offered to women agaes 21 years old and above. There will be 58 DOH retained hospitals nationwide for the whole month of May. There will be screening schedule offered for public, see the schedule below;

Over 12 Filipino women had die every day from cervical cancer. Also data shows that there are 250,00 deaths worldwide every day.

It was said that the cause by the Human Papillloma Virus or HPV which is the most common sexualuty tranmitted for both men and omen infected. HPV is very transmissible and may lead also a cancer of the vulva, vagina, anus, and head and neck cancers including genital warts.
HVP can be prevented by maintaning a healthy lifesytle and regular check-up for cervical cancer screening. You can also be protected by vaccination against HPV related diseases and cervical cancer.
So, ladies... visit the nearest retained hospital in your place!
