When I am stress and need a little break from work, the first thing that pops into my mind is to have been well pampering day. This pays off my long week of working. I usually visit a spa twice a month to have massaged and once a month for a foot spa.

I have tried the different kind of spa and massage center in Manila as well as here in Baguio for I was based right now. I need to set schedule for the pampering session by Asian Massage, Asian Salon and Asian Clinic which invited me to try their services. Apparently, there is a big bloggers' event that day which persuaded me to go to Manila.

It was my first time in their spa center and when I get to their branch in Ortigas. The first thing I notice is the warm smile of their receptionist who asked me to change my footwear to their bubble slippers which you can see in the rack on the right side once you enter. I pick the color black, and so I waited in the lobby area where I was impressed in their purple elegant sofa with a standing glamorous Christmas tree on the side (I feel like a princess in the sofa).

One of their personnel called me to follow her in their massage area and had my clothes change that they provided. I like the ambiance there, the calm music and the glittering stars in the ceiling in a dim light. When my attendant arrives, She asked me what kind of oil that I would like to have during the whole-body massage, and the choices are Peppermint with Eucalyptus, Floral Lavander, Lemon and Green Tea.

When she started and giving me the warm up massage, there is a pressure on my back and my butt that gives me pain but after a while the warm of oil in her hands makes me feel more relaxed. She says, she will give me the combination of Shiatsu and Thai massage using Floral Lavander oil that I choose. It helps stimulates my blood flow and takes away my back pains due to the long drive from Baguio the night before. My indulgence doesn't end there.

Next stuff, Asian Clinic skin and Slimming Center who is in the same vicinity but in different room. They give me their Basic Facial with no pricking using KB Vitamin C Peeling Gel Skin Whitening. They use only this brand in their clinic because they are also the distributor of KB Dermafirm product, which is made from Korea.

It was gently applied to my face after I wash my face without using any soap or cleanser. After 15 minutes of massaging it in my face and rinse it off, my face felt a little light and freshens my face. They also offer quick whitening bleach, mud mask, body sculpting services, and IPL in their clinic using the modern apparatus.

Wait, there's more...

I eventually tried their Asian Salon. Actually, I have choices of Manicure, Pedicure and Haircut with Shampoo and Blow dry. Since, my hair gets brittle and ends started to dry and usually don't have my manicure and pedicure in a salon. I choose the Haircut with Shampoo and Blow dry.Though, they did not shampoo my hair and its okay (actually, I took a bath before I came to their center and my hair is still wet).Their hairstylist blow dry my hair first and sectioned my hair before he started cutting it. After 20 minutes, it's done.

I was like in a hurry that day because I also have some other appointments. After thanking all those guys in Asian Massage, Asian Clinic and Asian Salon  for giving their time and effort for letting me try and experienced their super special services that they have provided for me. I have flown to my other engagement right away (sorry for that, schedule is hectic that day). But I'm telling you guys, you are the best and thank you for the great service.

Anyway, if you really want to have a total pampering for yourself. I must say that this place is a one-stop center for your total relaxing and makeover. They are 24/7 open with a great facility and services.

They also offer home services for Asian massage, and by appointment for Asian Salon and Asian Clinic. You can even hold a spa party for your friends and family. Plus, if you would like to venture into a business.  Asian Massage is open for franchise. Visit their website at http://www.asianmassageph.com/ for more information.
Cough and colds are my kid usual sickness. I was one of the lucky Mommy Bloggers who had been chosen to try samples of Unilab's famous Vitamin C Syrup for kids, known as Ceelin Plus.

Actually, Ceelin is my kid Vitamin C although we haven't tried the Ceelin Plus before. The Ceelin Plus is the combination of Vitamin C and Zinc in a liquid form to improve the health of kids' ages 1-13 years of age. These combinations will results with a dual immunity boosting action that makes the immune system of kids to be stronger.

One thing I love about Ceelin Plus is that, there are no foods should be avoided while taking it.

Now let us know the two main nutrients of Ceelin Plus. Of course, these are the Vitamin C and  Zinc.

What is Vitmin C?

Vitamin C is a vitamin which is soluble in water. It helps the growth and repair of tissues in all of our body parts. It helps make collagen in our body that is needed for healing wounds. It also repairs, and help maintains our bones and teeth.

Vitamin C is an antioxidant too and fight the bacteria and viruses that can harmful the body.

What is Zinc?

Zinc is nutrient that we need to stay healthy. Like Vitamin C, it helps the immune system to fight the invasion of bacteria and viruses throughout our body.

It is a major component to make proteins and DNA, which are genetic materials within the cells. It also helps our body to grow and develop properly.

Ceelin Plus is nutritional supplement for our kids to prevent and treat the Vitamin C and Zinc deficiencies in their body. My kid loves it's Apple flavor and the smell of Ceelin Plus. So mommy's give your kids the right nutritions that may help them to have a strong immunity. Try Ceelin Plus from Unilab

With the launch in 1988 the John Frieda Brand brought genuine salon-inspired products that deliver salon-quality results at home for the first time.  The brand went on to pioneer first-to-market, fashion-forward haircare innovations such as Frizz-Ease, Sheer Blond, Brilliant Brunette, Luxurious Volume and Precision Foam Color - each designed to meet the evolving needs of women and to give them hair they truly love.

When the John Frieda Brands launched 25 years ago a new era in beauty was heralded.  The haircare landscape at that time is barely recognizable to the colossus it is today.  And yet still, thanks to the fusion of its legendary salon-heritage with unrivaled technological innovation, the John Frieda Brand remains one of the best-selling haircare brands – and indeed most awarded haircare brands – in the UK today.

One of the brand’s biggest success stories is its legendary Frizz-Ease range which launched in 1990 and has since become a household name.  A best-seller when it launched, and today still the number one selling smoothing range, Frizz-Ease transformed women’s lives by banishing frizz - visibly transforming frizz-to-fabulous.  The newest addition to the award-winning range is Frizz-Ease Dream Curls Enhancing Oil (£9.99 for 50 ml) a lightweight oil elixir that instantly adds softness and shine to naturally curly and wavy hair.

The John Frieda Brand is celebrating 25 years in style with a star-studded party in the ballroom at Claridges Hotel in London on 29th October.  Giles Gordon, Marketing Director at the John Frieda Brand comments, “We are incredibly proud that the John Frieda Brand is as relevant today as when it was launched 25 years ago so we feel that’s something worth celebrating.  The event will celebrate the past whilst looking ahead to what’s next and how we can continue to transform women’s lives.” #JohnFrieda25.

I used not to finish the food in my plate before but not when I start working and earn money. I often told my friends to eat everything in their plates every time we dined out. Even today, that I have my personal family and starting to build good habits in our own table. I used to force my kid to finish his food because, as I always say to him, "not all people eat food that you are eating." Telling him that he is lucky enough to have more than 3 meals a day.

More and more people around the world have no food in their plates while other is not being mindful of wasting their food. In a research, it says that 50% of food supplies end up in garbage, and it was sad to know.

I'm glad to hear and to know that Healthy Options has an advocacy to stop food wastage using social media, and they call it "Love Food, Don't Waste." And I love the idea of discouraging and aiming to reduce food wastage.

We can help raise this campaign of Healthy Options by participating in the "Love Food, Don't Waste" campaign. Healthy Options is activating "Foodless Plate" where we can help by making donations to Hands On Manila.

Some women are just born perfect. They have flawless skin, toned, sexy body, and silky, long, luscious hair, while some just don’t have it all. If you belong to the first group, you are blessed. You are one of those women we get so jealous of because you just look absolutely perfect anytime of the day.

But for those who belong to the second group, fret not! You are not alone. Even seemingly perfect celebrities have flaws they just know how to correct them.

Here are seven common beauty problems and how to fix them:

1. Dry skin. As we grow older, our skin gradually grows thinner and produces less natural oil. Experts say these factors contribute to the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles. Dry skin is caused by changes of weather, steamy showers, moisture-robbing soaps, too much scrubbing, aging, irritants, or skin conditions.

The fix: Beauty experts recommend patients to see a doctor for a medical advice. But if you think it’s a simple drying of the skin, try drinking lots of water – all day, every day. Try to look for cleansers and other skincare products (toners, exfoliators, etc.) with moisturizing ingredients that will not dry the skin like Derma Celesty Series of Shinagawa Lasik & Aesthetics. It is developed by leading Japanese dermatologists to rejuvenate the skin. Jewelry gel, cleansing foam, and exfoliating gel contain hydrolyzed fiber. W-BTX essence makes your skin silky and ageless by reducing wrinkles instantly.

2. Body odor. It is an unpleasant smell in our bodies caused by bacteria that live on the skin break down sweat into acids. It becomes evident when a human reaches puberty at 14-16 years of age in females and 15-17 in males. People who are obese, those who regularly eat spicy foods, as well as individuals with certain medical conditions such as diabetes, are more susceptible to having body odor.

The fix: Proper hygiene and diet, and the use of dermatologically tested beauty products can eliminate body odor. Celesty Flora’s deodorant body scrub contains Tannin of Persimmon fruit extracts that fights unpleasant body odor while making your skin soft, radiant, and delicately scented with an uplifting citrus fragrance. It’ll make you smell good and feel good!

3. Excess weight. This is often associated with obesity and cholesterol. Too much body fats can often lead to other health issues such as breathing difficulties, arthritis, and heart disease.

The fix: Nothing beats regular exercise and a sensible diet plan. But some women have slow metabolism that they tend to have a hard time losing weight. Fit ‘n Slim contains L-Carnitin to speed up metabolism and a delicious diet coffee which is very popular among women of all ages. You can also try Musevital supplements for those who are eager to maintain their beauty, health, and great shape. It offers vitamins B, C, E, and collagen supplements.

4. Uneven skin tone or hyperpigmentation. This is a very common problem and tends to get worse as skin ages. One study by a beauty company suggested that one in four women were concerned about hyperpigmentation, which is cited as one of the main visible signs of ageing.

The fix: Women with severe skin pigmentation problems are advised to go and see their dermatologist who can prescribe more effective skin lighteners or treatments. For those without severe conditions and just wanted to have an even and flawless skin can use Celesty Glow products. It specializes in skin whitening and uses ingredients including YH-15 (yeast extract) that contains not only Glutathione but also proper balance of vitamins and minerals. The package includes Extreme Whitening Essence and Extreme Whitening Moisturizer. The Extreme Whitening Essence color originally comes from Vitamin B12 and effectively works for the skin’s pigmentation. The Essence Whitening Moisturizer protects your skin from dryness and leaves a smooth and radiant-looking skin.

5. Sagging/loose skin. This is brought about by genetics, weight changes, and sun damage. Some doctors say that once skin starts to slacken, pores often look larger, as if they’ve been stretched out of shape. As we age, our faces lose volume, primarily fat. As a result, skin can hang down as gravity acts on it creating droopiness, wrinkles, and bands.

The fix: According to a doctor, sagging skin requires more intervention than any other problem. People tend to ask medical experts for alternatives or use some skin tightening lotions which are available in the market today, or if it really looks ugly, you may need a surgery. 3D Angel Life is a non-invasive procedure that can make you look younger in an instant. It uses a special kind of thread that lifts facial sagging without surgery. This three-dimensional (3D) method brings a natural and long lasting effect that helps tighten the skin and prevents future sagging. See dramatic results right after the procedure.

6. Unwanted hair. Unwanted hair growth results when women produce too much male hormones, which is not normal and the exact cause is never identified. It tends to run in families. Although it’s a harmless condition, many women find it bothersome or even embarrassing.

The fix: There are a number of ways to remove or treat unwanted hair – either temporary or permanent. But with Candela, it completely eliminates unwanted hair. Now the tedious way of completely removing hair has become easier and faster with the help of Medical Treatment Laser Hair Removal. Candela is a state-of-the-art laser technology which is more times effective and is designed to successfully target areas other procedures failed to address.

7. Poor or deteriorating vision. As they say, “Beauty is in the eye of the beholder”, but how can you appreciate beauty if you have a poor vision? Do you know that loss of vision can occur suddenly or develop gradually over time? It may be complete (involving both eyes) or partial (only one eye) and it can be corrected by eyeglasses.

The fix: If eyeglasses can’t correct your problem anymore, try Z-Lasik. It is the latest and most advanced refractive eye surgery – bladeless, precise, and reduced pulse energy with no inflammation. It has shorter procedure time, with quick recovery of vision “within minutes” and faster tissue healing allowing for quicker resumption of active lifestyle. You’ll have 20/20 vision in an instant.

So stop worrying! Turn to Japan’s number one Aesthetic Center and world’s largest Intralasik Eye Surgery Provider, Shinagawa Lasik & Aesthetics for all your beauty problems. With over 25 years of experience and 3 million successful procedures, Shinagawa continues to set the standard in cutting-edge treatments.

Characterized by the inability for blood to clot properly, hemophilia is a hereditary medical condition that occurs in males more often than in females, and could affect the young as much as the elderly. In special cases, a change in an individual’s genes may also cause him to acquire it within his lifetime. Though hemophilia is rare, the World Federation of Hemophilia states that 75% of people around the world with bleeding disorders have not yet been diagnosed.

April is World Hemophilia month, and Blood Brothers Aid Inc., a non-profit organization based in the Philippines, aims to raise awareness about hemophilia in the country and to get more Filipinos to recognize the problem and help through blood or monetary donations.

Do you know someone who may suffer from hemophilia?

Following an injury, a person with hemophilia may take a longer time to heal from his wounds because his blood lacks the protein (clotting factor) instrumental in clotting.

The usual symptoms of hemophilia include deep bruising, joint pain and swelling caused by internal bleeding, spontaneous bleeding (e.g. nosebleeds), or prolonged bleeding from cuts, after surgery, or after a tooth extraction.

Hemophilia can be diagnosed by taking a blood sample and measuring the level of clotting factor activity in the blood.

Help bring treatment to the Philippines.

Hemophilia is mainly treated with replacement therapy. Clotting factor concentrates taken from healthy blood is injected into a hemophiliac’s bloodstream. Once it reaches the affected area, bleeding is expected to slow down and eventually stop. This treatment has to be done shortly after injury so as to avoid further pain, as well as damage to the person’s muscles, joints, and organs.

Clotting factor concentrates, however, are not readily available in the Philippines. International groups or volunteers ship medicine in from other countries, though supplies are minimal. In the absence of these drugs, a person in need of replacement therapy would require blood or plasma transfusions, and are at the mercy of the limited supply of blood available in hospitals. There are reported incidents of deaths among hemophiliacs due to the long wait for blood donations.

That’s why it is important for those who might show signs of having hemophilia to be diagnosed at the soonest possible time. It is also why more Filipinos need to be made aware of the disorder, so that we can help provide the support and treatments necessary for people who suffer from it.

Become a Blood Brother.

Every mom has her own story when it comes to feeding her child. Every meal times becomes a daily struggle but i believe that every moms knows how to cope with this problems. Some moms resort to bribing, giving treats or gifts whenever their child finishes his lunch while other transform into a monster moms and others just give in, thinking that eating unhealthy food is better than not eating at all.

Children are easily tempted by unhealthy food because it seems fun and exciting to eat and taste better because it has flavors, colors and textures. Ages 4-7 years old are the stage where kids learned to make their own choices and will tell you what they want. So, at this age the threat of the Diet Shift starts.

Wyeth Nutrition's AQIVA recognizes this problem, and has partnered with moms to help secure their children's nutrition and health. Recently, Aqiva launched "Food Talk", an event where mothers helped to educate how to fight the Diet Shift of kids and provided them with empowering solutions.

Its a mom-to-mom talk led by the celebrity mom and TV host Mikee Cojuanco-Jaworski. She also experienced the diet shift with her children. Child and health experts are also there to give advice and tips on how to deal with the Diet Shift. Dr. Bernadette Benitez, a Developmental and Behavioral Pediatrics Specialist and Ms. Luz Callanta, a nutrition Expert and Lecturer.

In a recent study done by Dr. Emilie Flores regarding the dietary characteristics of Filipino children, ages 1-6 years old from NCR, its is alarming to know that only 20% consumed fruits and vegetable at least once a day and meet the minimum acceptable diet standards based on the WHO indicators. Also, only a third received adequate amount of complementary & iron-rich foods. It is very unfortunate that this inadequacy in nutrient intake happens at the crucial age of a child's development.

During the event, mothers realized that to teach children how to eat healthy, they must understand why the unhealthy food appeal to children in the first place. That is why Celebrity Chef Jackie Laudico of Bistro Filipino helped the mothers and guest how to prepare their healthy meals that kids will enjoy. She said that she always plays around with three main elements which are the color, shape and texture when preparing meals for children. She showcased her techniques and allow guests to have a hands-on experience in preparing kid-friendly dishes.

She demonstrate how to prepare the Very Berry Pops - cake pops made from camote cake and berries, Vegan Burger - made from soy and grains with rice pilaf served with vegetable sticks and dips, and the Kiddie Canapes - whole wheat bread with cheese, veggies and grilled or baked fish and chicken cut and sliced in interesting shapes.

It was so much fun and I think children will love to have it because it has different colors, shapes and texture that are pleasing to their eyes. It will definitely caught their attention. With this healthy options drinking milks like Aqiva will adds nutrients for kids daily allowances.

Once upon a time, women had time to pull their hair in rollers and blow dry it to perfection. But in this era where every minute counts, spending too much time to fix your crowning glory is not always an option.

However, the frequent bad hair days can be prevented if you have the right haircut, color, and/or treatment, which passed through the hands of a hairdresser who understands the art and science of hair.

“What sets a hairdresser apart from the rest is how long he or she can make the look last. The technical know-how on what type of haircut to do, what products to use on a specific hair, and the techniques that go with it are all factors in achieving a long-lasting, easy-to-fix do,” says Tinette Ozamis-Puyat, owner of Tinette & Co. salon.

Three decades of working and training in different parts of the world exposed
Tinette to almost all types of hair. She is also one of the most-trusted stylists of
prominent celebrities, politicians, and personalities.

This California-accredited hairdresser is also the first Filipino Schwarzkopf
ambassador who was flown all the way to Germany to learn more about the science and precision of hairdressing from a culture of perfectionists.

“I consider hairdressers as hair doctors—we use different medicines for hair and we should know what to prescribe. It’s not enough that you know how to cut hair. It’s how you handle the hair and how you make the hair look its best. Hairdressing is a science and everything has a formula. It’s not guesswork,” says Tinette.

Tinette personally tries all hair products on her own hair before carrying it on her
salon. She also discovers different ways on how to use these products in different
proportions to achieve a look that would suit her clients perfectly.

Being a homegrown talent, Tinette also believes in grooming her salon’s
hairdressers in the same discipline. She multiplies her skills through them and
shares all of her knowledge taken from her decades of experience and training.

Looking your best c/o Tinette & Co.

Since Tinette & Co. opened 18 years ago, it has been the salon’s objective to make their clients’ hair healthy, easy to manage, and enhance the person’s natural
features.

“We’d like to keep focus on making you look natural, making you feel good so that
your aura will be good also,” shares Tinette.

Indeed, there is no need to fish for compliments when you sport a fabulous do which you can carry comfortably and with pride. Tinette & Co. playfully reflects this belief in its eye-catching fish mascot they call Ms. T.

“That fish came out because I don’t want people to take hair too seriously, I want
them to have fun with it. Hair is an everyday part of your life and I want our clients
to go out with hair that they can handle themselves,” she says.

Every session in Tinette & Co. is a personalized experience. And even if you don’t
know what to do with your hair the moment you stepped into their salon, their
friendly hairdressers can give you expert advice on what would look best on you.

Since everybody’s beauty features are unique, the hairdressers at Tinette & Co. also makes sure that every procedure would be carefully executed depending on the type of hair that they are dealing with.

“It’s very important to know how to do technical treatment because you can over
process the hair and you lose your focus on making your hair shiny. Shiny hair looks like healthy hair so you have to bring that shine out,” shares Tinette.

And for more special celebrations and events when you need expert help for your
hair, Tinette & Co. has also mastered the art and science of blow dry. The salon has also been famous for this service because of its long-lasting effect.
